I remember when I first played as a rogue. It was awful for me, mostly because my copy of the game had a BIG problem.

I was playing as a Dalish elf archer. I had my dexterity very high of course, yet only one out of four arrows ever hit. My disk had some glitch that made my dexterity always crap. Bad for a rogue. I ended up having to get another copy.

I though one can patch any version of the game, and if there's a bug, there's always a fix somewhere...
