Hey everybody! Kingdom Hearts' plot
got so complicated I figured out that the world needs to see more stuff like that. The chart is both conceived and realized by Aliste Rosenheim
, however, she stopped at Coded, and I decided to update it upon finishing 3D.
the legend so you could make at least something out of it. Nope, I'm not translating the text: I'm simply not qualified enough for that, not by myself. Sure, I can give a rough enumeration of facts, but this chart isn't about the information alone. I like the lively informal speech used in the Russian version, and I had fun reading it, as well as working on the edit. Now a couple of words about the content.
I used the orange arrow
to show where a killed Nobody's or Heartless' essence go. I propably should have used an orange/BLUE arrow for the heartlesses, but you get the idea anyway. (Besides, I needed to show that 'Ven > Sora' sutiation is different.)
So far it is believed that Vanitas
is gone for good, so no orange arrow for him yet.
The purple arrow is for the body's transformation alone (thus, a blue 'Sora > his heartless' arrow).Dark Riku
seems to be a complicated example of this since initially it is a manifestation of his dark powers and ambitions,
but later on it is a form his body takes when Ansem's already in, but not in the full control of the body yet.
The whole plot connected to Xehanort
and his 13 vessels of darkness is an official "mystery" so far, as well as Terra's status, so just... don't think too hard about it. Let's just wait.
There should be an arrow leading form Data-Sora
to Data-Roxas and Data-Heartless, but meh, it's all in the desctiption.
I decided to not to make a separate KH3D Kairi
entry, the information from the Secret Enging is in the KH2 one. There are things I'm ready to discuss though.Sora's Heartless'
essence, for example, end the secret of it's transformation back to Sora. The origin of the "spare" bodies seems to be a general issue in this universe (like, where the hell Namine's body came from? Did I miss something?)
The younger versions of Sora and Riku
in 3D were another big WTF moment, but I understand it like this: Yen Sid put the two to sleep and sent them back in time to the moment when the Islands were attacked (thus, they look younger).
Their journey to the WtNW bugs me though. I can assume that Riku, being a Dream Eater, is still inside a dream, but it was hinted that Sora was in a real WtNW (as real as a destroyed world can be). And Riku came looking for him in the same place. But the two kept their appearances. Nomura's explanation to the fact was most incoherent (Yen Sid's magic, riiiight), so I kept this version for now.
