DA2 - Merrill cosplay 1 by Roksik DA2 - Merrill cosplay 1 by Roksik
Finally finished my Merrill cosplay (Dragon Age 2). Mostly. The leather parts are such a pain! Wore it to a festival today, but we made a detour to take a couple of pictures in the park. Hopefully I will get a normal photo shooting later on. And HOPEFULLY my friend will finish the Isabella costume by then! Do you hear me, Dasha? You should be ashamed!

Heart That is ridiculously adorable.

Great work on the outfit, incidentally.

I'm not sure my links could be of use to you: I live in Russia and I found the right fabric in a special shop selling clothes for dancing (alongside with all kinds of accessories, feathers, boas and shining-sparkling tissues).

The idea to take the net fabric comes from here: eressea-sama.deviantart.com/ar…

Except that the fabric I found looks a little different (the picture itself is from my first failed attempt, but it gives the idea of how I hid the seams. A very time-consuming method of doing the chainmail. It's a tricky and vicious part of the costume!) i069.radikal.ru/1308/1b/ca76ae…

In short, I'd recommend to start with checking all the draperies around.

I remember what a pain thinking everything through was, so feel free to ask me about anything! I'd be very happy to share :) Also, the short explanation of materials I used can be found here: roksik.deviantart.com/art/DA2-…

Thank you! That is really helpful, I found a material to use so thank you for the link to the net fabric shirt.

Also thank you for the link to the other parts of the costume, much appreciated!
